“I really don't want to fight Anderson. I respect him a lot. As I've said several times, I don't want to be the guy who beat Anderson and I also don't want to be the guy who lost to him. Anderson is a great champion, I am a great champion. We both… (long pause). I don’t know, I don’t know… For the fans……”, said Jones, who then continued with his analysis.

“I'm not saying the fight won't happen. It may happen. But it's something I'm not chasing. Being the most dominant light heavyweight fighter and maintaining dominance for a while, that is among my goals. I don't believe I need to fight Anderson to be the best in the world. I think I just have to keep fighting to be the best of all”, added the light heavyweight champion in an interview with the newspaper “Mail Braziliense".

Before a possible confrontation against Anderson, Jon Jones He already has an appointment scheduled at the UFC. The North American will be one of the coaches of TUF 17, the UFC's reality show in the United States, against the controversial Chael Sonnen. After the program, the fighters will face each other for the light heavyweight belt.
