As soon as Chael Sonnen was announced as coach of TUF 17 and next challenger for the light heavyweight belt of Jon Jones, the former champion Forrest griffin he was left without an opponent at UFC 155, an event that takes place on December 29th, in Las Vegas, in the United States. But Forrest's wait for an opponent lasted only two days.
Despite Minotouro's requests to replace Sonnen and face Griffin at the event, the chosen one was another North American. This Friday (19), Phil Davis, who was in action at UFC Rio 3 and defeated Brazilian Wagner Caldeirão, was announced as Forrest's opponent in the second most important fight of the show.
The most anticipated fight at UFC 155 will be the heavyweight title fight, where the Brazilian junior gypsy puts his reign on the line in the rematch against Cain Velazquez, an opponent from which the Tupiniquim athlete took the division title.
