Even winning again and abandoning a sequence of two negative results in a row, Johnny Walker understands that it needs to improve. At the UFC Las Vegas 11, held last Saturday (19), the Brazilian came under pressure, but managed a great comeback and knocked out Ryan spann still in the first round. In the press conference after the show, the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) was self-critical when analyzing his performance.

"I am not happy. I received blows. I'm happy with the win, but I'm not happy with my performance. I should move more, get into the fight more. I needed more time, to be more active. I won, but not like I think I should have”, said the Brazilian.

Walker also took the opportunity to assess the bad moment he was in, after losing two consecutive matches and momentarily moving away from the top 10 in the category. For Johnny, defeats ended up being important for his maturity.

“I see my two defeats as part of the process. It has to happen. I didn't have much experience in this sport. I've been a professional for six years and I've been in the UFC for two.

This weekend, the light heavyweight reached the milestone of two appearances in 2020. With a victory in the first round and no apparent injuries, Walker admitted his interest in returning to the octagon later this year.

“I want to fight as soon as possible, maybe two more times or once. I'm going to stay in (Las) Vegas a little longer. I can be a substitute in a fight, if needed. Light heavy or heavy (up to 120,2kg), just give me a call”, he concluded.
