Sharp, as always, Colby covington is ready for your next challenge. This Saturday (19), at UFC Las Vegas 11, the North American will face off against the company's former welterweight champion (up to 77kg), Tyron woodley, and promised spectators a great show.

“It will be a very violent fight. I promise I'll send him to the emergency room at the hospital. They'll probably put him on a stretcher when he comes out of the Octagon, because I'm going to really hurt him. I'm going to rip out every cell in your brain. He will be motivated for this fight, which will be very intense and very emotionally charged. On the one hand, I support the president. On the other, he supports communism. I support capitalism, and he is a liberal. I'm a Republican. I'm red against blue. I see a lot of rivalry in this fight, a lot of animosity. It's not a manufactured rivalry. They are two guys who hate each other and want to send each other to the hospital”, said Covington, in an interview with 'Combate'.

Colby took the opportunity to clarify comparisons between his technique and that of the former champion. As these are two athletes specialized in grappling, the duel could become more balanced, but Covington made a point of putting his rival on a lower level.

“This comparison is a lie. He's an explosive athlete, but he doesn't have monstrous physical preparation like mine. It's not for nothing that they call me 'King of Gas'. No one can keep up with my pace. I have a gift from God to establish a fighting rhythm that no one can handle. I'm a completely different fighter than him. I have fight volume, and he likes to explode with one or two punches to try for a knockout. But he won't keep up with my pace. I’m going to drown him and finish him in five rounds”, he concluded.

The confrontation against Woodley this weekend goes beyond the rivalry between the combatants. The next challenger for the category belt could emerge from the confrontation. The winner, therefore, must face the one who triumphs in the confrontation between the champion Kamaru Usman e Gilbert Durinho, who are negotiating a confrontation for December.
