No doubt, Neil Magny was one of the big winners of the UFC Las Vegas 8, held on Saturday (29), in the USA. Despite not having won any of the event's bonuses, the athlete impressed by dominating Robbie Lawler, former welterweight champion (77kg) and did not hide his happiness. At the press conference, Magny praised his newest victim, considered this the biggest victory of his career and defended his achievement.

“This is the biggest victory of my career. What Lawler achieved, the time he was champion make this victory remarkable. Lawler's legacy in MMA is great. I respect him a lot and I'm happy with my performance. People are saying that Lawler is at the end of his career, that he fought poorly, but I was the one who fought well. I beat him now and I would have beaten him five years ago, but it would be cool to fight Neal. He has a good streak and I can also handle the new generation”, said Magny.

Known for being one of the most active fighters in the UFC, the North American competed in his third fight in 2020, won them all and wants more. Driven by the important result, Magny asked to face a top-10 player in the division.

“Lawler is one of those athletes that you can’t let control the fight. He is dangerous at all times. When I realized I had success on the floor, I got comfortable. That was a top-10 performance and I want to face one before 2020 is over. I want to advance and fight for the belt next year. The bad thing is that the athletes who are close to the belt have fights scheduled. I'm not bothered. I can face any top-10 fighter to fight for the belt and I'm ready. I deserve this,” he concluded.
