Jon Jones calls Belfort a legend, but says he will knock him out or submit at UFC 152

A duel of generations marks the main fight of UFC 152, an event that will take place next Saturday (22), in Toronto, Canada. The veteran Vitor belfort, 35 years old, faces the champion Jon Jones, 10 years younger, for the organization's light heavyweight belt. But despite the age difference, the champion says he remembers some moments from Belfort's career, but wants to win the duel quickly.

“I was a child when Vitor was champion, I only remember his victory over Wanderlei Silva. He's a legend of the sport, but I've already had a five-round fight against Rashad evans. On Saturday, I want to submit or knockout,” said Jones, in the last press conference before UFC 152.

Jones, as expected, commented on his refusal to fight Chael Sonnen at UFC 151, which led to the cancellation of the event.

“I feel horrible about the UFC 151 situation. I'm not a UFC executive, and when I spoke to Dana (White, UFC president) about Chael Sonnen, they never said they would cancel the event if I didn't accept. The guilt came to me. It turns out that I dedicated myself to being champion and I'm not going to put my title on the line just to satisfy people. I have to protect what I fought to conquer. I trained for Vitor, and a good performance will put a stop to the matter.” concluded Jones.
