The news that the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare tested positive for Covid-19, before his presentation against Uriah Hall No. UFC 249, which took place on May 9, shocked the MMA world. After being removed from the card, the fighter decided to send a message of thanks to his fans and reinforced that he intends to fight the North American after his recovery.

I thank my corners (coaches) for their partnership, my opponent for their words of support and the UFC for their care. For the next few weeks, I will be secluded with my family and coaches and focusing on our health so I can be back soon. Thank you very much”, wrote the Brazilian on his Instagram account.
O UFC 249 would mark Jacaré's return to the middleweight division (83,9kg.) after having tested himself, in November last year, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.). The fighter was looking for a victory over Hall to officially return to the category ranking and resume his path towards the top of the group.
At the moment, there is no prediction on when Ronaldo will be able to fight again. The idea is that the combatant recovers and undergoes more tests and, when it is found that the athlete is no longer infected, he should be released to perform.
At 40 years old, the Brazilian currently has 35 fights as a professional in MMA. The fighter has 26 victories, eight defeats and one unsuccessful fight.
