The Russian website, 'RT Sports' reported that the health condition of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Khabib's father, is critical. Hospitalized since the end of April, the coach's pneumonia and heart problems worsened. Aware of the situation, the lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) received messages of support from Dana White and his biggest rival, Conor McGregor.

“Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov is a true martial artist who lives with pride, honor and respect. He applied his same values to his world champion son Khabib from a young age in his career. I know how close Khabib is to his father and I'm sad to hear about his health. My thoughts are with Abdulmanap and the Nurmagomedov family. May he continue to fight,” wrote Dana White on her Instagram account.
In addition to the boss's words, Khabib also received an unusual message. Conor McGregor decided to put the rivalry aside, for now, and show solidarity with his professional partner. Upon hearing the news, the 'Notório' did not fail to speak out on the matter.
“Praying for the recovery of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. A man responsible for many world champions around the world in more sports than we know. A true fighting genius. Very sad after hearing news about him. Praying for the Nurmagomedov family at this time”, wrote the Irishman on his Twitter account.

According to information from 'RT Sports', sources close to the coach confirmed that the situation involving Khabib's mentor is indeed delicate. After being initially hospitalized in Dagestan (Russia), the technician ended up being transferred, last week, to a hospital in Moscow (Russia).
“Abdulmanap is in very bad shape. He is in a coma in Moscow. They didn't treat him properly in Dagestan, and there were some complications. They had to take him to Moscow on a special plane and now he is isolated in a military hospital. Not even his family can visit him,” they said.
At 57 years old, Abdulmanap is one of the main responsible for the success in his son's career, who is considered one of the biggest names in the recent history of MMA. The trainer contributed to a solid career for Khabib, who now has 28 fights as a professional and has never been beaten.
