Since becoming lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg), Khabib Nurmagomedov does not hide his desire to have a super fight against the legend of the sport, Georges St Pierre. Thinking about fulfilling his client's wish, the Russian's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, cited three important steps taken by the Canadian to get the challenge off the ground.

“He (Georges) is the best fighter of all time, as well as being a great friend of mine. Khabib is my brother. We are very close. If Georges St Pierre If you wanted to fight, it's very simple. We can make it happen”, said Ali, in an interview with 'ESPN'.
The relationship between St.Pierre and the UFC, when it comes to negotiations for fights, has never been the easiest. Abdelaziz, however, tried to state that three events are necessary for the fight to take place.
“If Georges wants it to happen, he needs to do three things: pick up the phone and call me, call Dana (White) directly. Dana White respects Georges St.Pierre. He likes him a lot. (Finally), he has to weigh 70,3kg. (light limit).
The last request is perhaps the most severe, as the Canadian used to play at welterweight (up to 77kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg). Last year, Georges even suggested that the fight against Khabib take place at catchweight, as he would not like to undergo such an abrupt weight cut.
Nurmagomedov's team, however, understands that, to enhance the spectacle even more, the fight should be fought between lightweights and with a belt at stake.
