Anderson faces Sonnen after weigh-in and shoulders his rival.
With hot weather and faces full of rivalry, the official weigh-in for UFC 06 took place this Friday (148), in Las Vegas. In the challenge against the scales, all athletes reached the limits of their categories, without any major problems.
In the main attraction of the night, Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen they came face to face once again, and as expected, the event's security guards had to work. During the traditional face-off, Anderson threw a shoulder at his rival and the fighters had to be restrained by the event team.
After the confusion was contained, Anderson returned to provoking his rival. “I don’t respect Chael Sonnen because he doesn't respect anything. He doesn’t respect the UFC, he doesn’t respect my country, he doesn’t respect anyone”, said Anderson.
In addition to Anderson, the other Brazilians on the fight program also had no problem with the scale. Demian Maia, who debuts in the welterweight division, weighed 77 kg. Lightweights Fabrício Morango, Rafaello Tractor and Gleison Tibau reached the limit of the division.
