This will be Marlon's first challenge since the Friborg native defeated Aldo in one of the main fights of the UFC 245, which took place in December last year. Moraes, who demonstrated his dissatisfaction with the company's decision to elect José as a challenger for the champion position, will now have to focus on breaking Petr's winning streak, who has proven to be one of the toughest competitors in the category.

The Russian, who is coming off a great victory over Urijah faber, has already stated that he does not choose opponents. The only objection would be to face a rival who is coming off a defeat. After settling the clash with Marlon, Yan took the opportunity to provoke the current champion, who will face an opponent coming off a defeat.

“The loser fights for the belt, Henry Cejudo?”, wrote Petr.

If the clash is made official by Ultimate, Marlon will reach the mark of 31 appearances in his career as a professional in MMA. Today, the Brazilian has 23 wins, six defeats and one draw.

PUBLICITY:

Yan, 27, has made 15 appearances and has only one setback on his record. The Russian comes from nine consecutive victories.
