Gone are the days when fighters performed more than once on the same night for Ultimate. However, if it depended on Henry Cejudo, the 'root' model could happen again in the UFC 250, which takes place on May 9, in São Paulo. Bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), the North American who gave up the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.) in December said he would fight José Aldo e Deiveson Figueiredo on the same night. The statement was made in an interview with 'TMZ Sports'.

The controversy involving Cejudo's former category began last Friday (28), when Figueiredo failed to make the weight cut that would qualify him for the title fight against Joseph Benavidez in the main fight of UFC Norfolk, held last Saturday (29). After failing to fulfill his commitment to the scales, the title, as a form of punishment, would only be valid in the event of 'Joe' winning over the man from Pará.
History wanted Deiveson to present himself in an indisputable way against the North American. Acting safely, the Brazilian achieved an impressive knockout in the second round, beating his rival and keeping the category without an official champion.
No UFC 250, Henry already has a confirmed commitment against Aldo. On that occasion, 'Triplo C' will make his first title defense since becoming champion with the company.
In a recent interview with journalists at an event to promote the UFC 248, which takes place this Saturday (7), the president of Ultimate, Dana White, has already confirmed that the company will hold a new fight between Joseph and Figueiredo. The date and location, however, were not disclosed.
