After beating Dominick Reyes in this Saturday's main fight, the champion reaches an unprecedented 14 victories in title fights

O UFC 247, held last Saturday (8), in Houston (USA), was a joy for Jon Jones. In addition to remaining as light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) in the tough fight against Dominick reyes, the North American reached an expressive and unprecedented milestone within Ultimate. The fighter achieved his 14th victory in fights valid for the belt. In the press conference after the show, the athlete spoke about the achievement.

"It means a lot to me. There are so many talented athletes who work for the UFC and achieving something that no one has ever achieved before means a lot. I'm happy for myself, but I'm more happy for my coaches. They are part of something special,” Jones said.

In the interview, the athlete did not indicate what the next step in his career will be. The fighter did not want to talk about the possibility of playing in the heavyweight division and did not confirm whether he would give an immediate rematch to Dominick reyes, who won in a unanimous decision by the judges.

At 32 years old, the American continues to make history within the organization and, in a recent interview, stated that he intends to remain in the sport for many years.

After defeating Reyes, 'Bones' achieved his 26th career victory. The athlete has one defeat (lost to Matt Hamill by disqualification in 2009) and one unsuccessful fight (initially he defeated Daniel Cormier, but was caught in an anti-doping test and had his victory taken away).

    This last Jones-Reyes fight was the biggest fraud I've ever seen in the UFC. This was another one of the many moves that this Machiavellian Dana White makes to provoke a rematch between fighters and raise millions and millions of dollars. And there are people who still believe. All I can do is laugh. hahahahaha
