With tickets still on sale, the UFC organization continues to carry out actions in Belo Horizonte to promote the 147th edition of the show, which takes place on June 23rd, in the capital of Minas Gerais. This Wednesday (06), José Aldo, champion of the featherweight category, and Johnny Eduardo, an athlete in the bantamweight category, visited BH for an autograph session and photos with fans, as part of the UFC 147 promotion.
When asked about the main fight of the event between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin, the fighters are betting on their compatriot's triumph against the North American.
“The biggest responsibility will be on Wanderlei, as the fans will want to win. But the miners will support him and for sure, I think he will behave like he always has, aggressively, looking for the knockout to end the fight quickly. Even so as not to leave it in the hands of the judges”, he assessed. José Aldo, confident in the Curitiba native’s victory in BH.
In its turn, Johnny Eduardo also believes in the Brazilian's victory against Franklin. Johnny considers that Wand's opportunity to avenge the setback suffered by the North American in 2009 will be a special motivation for the Brazilian athlete.
“Every rematch is much better, the guy prepares and dedicates himself more, because he knows he has what it takes to beat his rival. The only thing that changed was the opponent, I'm sure that Wanderlei has double the desire”, commented the carioca, training partner of José Aldo in the Nova União team, in Rio de Janeiro.
