The Bahian will fight once again in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg) and will try to equal the record for title defenses Ronda Rousey (5). As a rival, Bahia will have an old acquaintance, the Dutch Germain de Randamie, defeated by the Brazilian in 2013.

The featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg) will also be put in check this Saturday. Against the dangerous Alexander Volkanovsky, Max Holloway will try to maintain his reign and remain number one in the division.

In the first title fight of the event, the Brazilians will have to save their breath to watch another performance of Amanda nunes. Undisputed champion of two Ultimate divisions, the Brazilian will defend her bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg) for the fifth time and will try to equal the record of Ronda Rousey (champion with the most defenses in UFC history), the first woman to hold the title for the organization, who also defended her reign on five occasions.

This Saturday, the athlete will face an old acquaintance. The Bahian will face Germain de Randamie, whom he defeated in 2013 with a brutal knockout in the first round.

Six years have passed since their first meeting and their record speaks for itself, proving the evolution of the fighters. After the setback for the Brazilian, Germaine was never defeated again. The Dutchwoman even states that being beaten by Amanda was instrumental in her evolution in the sport.

In addition to the belt, Nunes is looking to defend an unbeaten run that has lasted almost five years and wants to confirm her reputation as the best fighter in the history of MMA.

2) Reckoning between Usman and Covington

The history of MMA has already provided fans of the sport with historic rivalries: Chuck Liddell against Randy Couture, Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva e Quinton jackson, Jon Jones against Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor and, this Saturday, the public will be able to watch another clash that has everything it needs to make an era.

In the main fight UFC 245, the welterweight champion (up to 77kg.), Kamaru Usman will resolve its disputes in a clash against the controversial Colby covington. The athletes have already publicly declared that they don't like each other and, this Saturday, they will have the opportunity to exchange forces in the octagon and prove, once and for all, who is the best.

It took months of complicated negotiations until the company was able to confirm the fight as the main attraction of the penultimate show of the year.

With similar records, the fighters arrive in Las Vegas with the responsibility of showing that the promotion of the fight was not just lip service. The expectation is that the two will provide a real battle and that spectators will leave the event satisfied.

3) Featherweight title at stake

Since taking the title of 'People's Champion', José Aldo, on 2017, Max Holloway has proven with each performance that it is worthy of bearing the title of number one in the category. With excellent boxing and impeccable performances, the Hawaiian will have a great challenge this weekend.

Holloway will share the octagon with the dangerous Alexander Volkanovsky, who won the right to challenge the champion after surprising the world and defeating Aldo in one of the fights at UFC 237, held in May, in Rio de Janeiro. The triumph over Manauara convinced the Ultimate board, who understood that the Australian deserved to be tested against Max in the fight for the division title.

The fight against Alexander will mark the fourth title defense since Max established himself at the top of the category. In addition to the responsibility of defeating his rival to remain number one, the Hawaiian must put an end to Volkanovski's unbeaten run that has lasted more than six years and 17 fights.

4) Aldo and the dream of another title

Although I'm not competing for any belt, José Aldo will be highlighted for your commitment in UFC 245. The millions of MMA fans around the world are curious to know how the athlete will do in his debut in the bantamweight division.

A few months ago, Manauara surprised many people by announcing that he would leave his old division (feathers) and take a chance on the lower category (roosters). The Brazilian's idea is to get a chance to fight for the belt against Henry Cejudo, current champion. To achieve this, Ultimate gave the 'King of Rio' a fiery test. Right on his debut, Aldo was chosen to face the number one in the ranking, Marlon moraes, in a Brazilian duel.

Against his compatriot, José must prove that, despite being lighter, he can compete at a high level and achieve a victory.

The meeting between Aldo and Marlon is very important for the category, as the clash could lead to Cejudo's next challenger, who won the belt in June, over Moraes himself, and has not yet made any defense.

5) More Brazilians

In addition to the Brazilian duel between Marlon and Aldo, and Amanda nunes defending its title, Brazil will have two more representatives on the main card of the year.

With important performances on the main card, two fighters will be responsible for carrying the Brazilian flag to the Las Vegas card.

Viviane Araujo She will be the first Brazilian to step into the Octagon that night. The flyweight will have a battle in the second appearance. Currently in fifth place in the ranking, the athlete from the Federal District will face the former title challenger, Jessica Eye, which was recently beaten by the current champion, Valentina Shevchenko, in a brutal knockout at UFC Uruguay.

The meeting between the two athletes ended up shaky last Friday (13), after Eye failed to make her weight in the category. Araújo, however, agreed to take part in the contest and will receive 30% of the atelta grant.

Undefeated in MMA, Ketlen Scallop could be one victory away from being able to fight for the bantamweight title, which belongs to Amanda nunes. Recovering from injuries, which kept her away from the octagon for more than a year, the Amazonian arrives at UFC 245 to face Irene aldana in a clash that could put her in a position to face the 'Lionea' in the future.

Vieira will take her chances against the 10th in the ranking, while the Manaus native is currently in third place, behind only the current challenger, Germaine.

With 10 appearances and no defeats, the Brazilian needs a significant triumph to be able to challenge the 'Leoa', who will defend her title on the same card.
