The rematch between Chris Cyborg e Amanda nunes has been one of the most discussed topics in the MMA universe in recent weeks. After having the last fight of her contract with Ultimate last week, the Curitiba native has been analyzing the possibility of holding a new duel against the 'Leoa'. In a recent interview with 'Combate,' Cris stated that she would have no problem formalizing a new one-fight agreement, but said she would not go beyond that.

“If he accepts the contract for a fight and we enter into an agreement, but not with a champion clause, just to make the fight that people would like to see, Amanda nunes and me again, we can have this fight. But we're going to have to sit down and talk. Only a fight is good. Now, continuing this, I don't see it fixing (the relationship), because we've been trying since my first fight in the UFC. Since the first weight cut, so I don't know. I've already given the opportunity to change, and we're waiting, waiting, but if it's a fight there's no problem, it's a fight and it worked, said Cyborg.

Cris has openly complained about the way she was treated throughout her career by Dana White. Some time ago, the president of Ultimate made offensive comments about the fighter's appearance, something that, according to Cris, harms her daily. The UFC president, in a certain situation, insinuated that the Brazilian had masculine features, going so far as to suggest that the athlete had a penis, in addition to comparing her to Wanderlei Silva, a mixed martial arts idol.

After the defeat to Amanda nunes, in December, which cost Cyborg the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg.), White went public to say that the Brazilian did not accept an immediate rematch against her compatriot. According to Cris, a new fight was requested the day after his setback, however, it was ignored by the Ultimate management.

The Curitiba native is considered, by many, the best female athlete of all time, due to her aggressiveness and the period in which she remained undefeated. However, after the setback for Nunes, the compatriot began to claim that, having beaten Cris, having two belts in Ultimate and having achieved what no woman, to date, had done, she was the best in history. Cyborg also commented on this.

“I never said I was the best of all time. It's a very big thing, it's very arrogant for you to talk about yourself. I think it's better for someone else to talk about you, because it's real. It's the same thing as asking your father something, he'll put you up there. Same thing with us. When fans say something about you, if fans think Amanda is the best in the world, let her be the best in the world. But then it's the fans who will talk about her. That's why I never talked about myself, I always let the fans talk. I think she did a lot for the sport, but I think one difference between the two of us is that I was undefeated for 13 years, I was champion of three organizations, not wanting to be better than anyone, but doing my best”, concluded Cyborg.

After the confrontation with Felícia Spencer, at UFC 240, Cyborg left her future open. With the possibility of even moving to Bellator, the Brazilian still wants to face Amanda and, after the commitment, say goodbye to the UFC.
