Henry Cejudo has, little by little, become a big name in the world of MMA. After winning the bantamweight title, on the 8th, at UFC 238, in Chicago (USA), the athlete has been collecting fans, but also receiving criticism for his provocative style. In a recent interview with the program 'The Hollywood Beatdown', the former welterweight champion (up to 77kg.), Tyron woodley criticized the fighter.

“Cejudo, put the ball down, man. Lower the ball. You’re annoying everyone,” said Tyron.

Woodley made reference to the fact that Henry was causing a stir in the MMA world in an attempt to elevate his name within the organization and promote his fights in a disrespectful manner. In his last statement, Cejudo made a point of expressing his desire to try for a third belt within the company, something that has been unprecedented to this day. The North American revealed his desire to move up a category again and face Frankie Edgar, if the athlete defeats Max Holloway in the fight for the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg), which takes place in July, at UFC 240.

“He is a phenomenal fighter. It's impressive what he was able to do by winning an Olympic medal, which is more important to me than a UFC belt, because it's the hardest thing to win in combat sports,” praised Woodley. “He defeated Demetrious Johnson, a pound-for-pound legend. He won belts in two categories. In short, it's crazy what he's done in such a short period of time. But when you start doing things outside the octagon, it’s better to stop,” said the athlete.

Cejudo has publicly declared his desire to become the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in Ultimate. Currently, the position is dominated by Daniel Cormier, who became light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) and, later, won the heavyweight belt by defeating Stipe Miocic, in July last year.

If Frankie actually manages to beat Max and the UFC decides to give Henry the chance to try for his third title, his wish could come true.

At the end of the interview, Tyron still sent a message to the North American. Once again praising, the former welterweight champion advised the Olympic champion to continue the good work done inside the Octagon.

“You are a beast. Keep winning and reduce the amount of provocation”, concluded Tyron.

At 37 years old, Woodley hasn't fought since March last year, when he lost his title as champion to the Nigerian Kamaru Usman, at UFC 225. The athlete had a fight scheduled to face Robbie Lawler, on the 29th, however, a hand injury forced him to leave the event.
