Brazilian Stephanie Bruna, known as 'Rondinha de BH', debuted her professional MMA career with victory. The athlete defeated Viviane Adne by knockout at an event held in Nova Lima (MG), last Saturday (15). The fighter was undefeated with four victories as an amateur.

The nickname is a tribute to Ronda Rouse, former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg), and one of the biggest names in women's MMA of all time. However, while the American was famous for her devastating 'armbars', Stephanie seems to have the knockout as her strong point. At least, that's what she demonstrated in her presentation last weekend.
'Rondinha' took no notice of Adne and punished her opponent with consecutive punches, causing the opponent's mouthguard to fall to the ground in the moment before the knockout, practically declaring Stephanie's knockout.
While the female MMA legend already retired from mixed martial arts just over two years ago, and today shines in WWE (free wrestling), 'Rondinha' tries, from now on, to chart her path towards great career achievements .
The event represented the 'Fight X Federation', and brought two title fights to the public. One for men and the other for women. Among the men, Fernando 'Ben 10' defeated Luiz Guerra for the bantamweight title, while in the women's category, Tarciara Santos eliminated Jéssica 'Quebra Ossos', becoming strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg).
Stephanie, now 19 years old, is from Belo Horizonte (MG), and currently works in the strawweight category, the same as the current UFC champion, Jessica Andrade. The fighter has a purple belt in jiu-jitsu, however, stand-up fighting also seems to be a strong point for the Minas Gerais native.
