Lyoto Machida defeated his compatriot Vitor belfort in style at UFC 224 – also called UFC Rio 9. The karateka landed a beautiful front stomp on his rival's chin and achieved the knockout in spectacular fashion. With reward, Lyoto won the 'Performance of the Night' bonus for the event held this Saturday (12), in the capital of Rio de Janeiro. He pocketed US$50 in extra premium, around R$180 at the current exchange rate.

In addition to Lyoto, the other performance award was won by bantamweight John Lineker. The man from Paraná applied an incredible punishment to brian kelleher until winning by knockout in the third round.
The 'Fight of the Night' bonus, as it could not be otherwise, was for the battle between Kelvin Gastelum e Ronaldo Jacare. During three rounds, the middleweights, who pocketed US$50 each, fought a contest full of emotion and alternation in dominance. In the end, the American prevailed in a tight split decision.
