After managing to arrange a duel against Dan Henderson “in the scream”, Michael Bisping seems to have enjoyed the bargaining power he was given. The Englishman, who even said that there was a verbal agreement to face Georges St-Pierre at UFC 206, on December 10th, in Canada, changed his focus and seems to have a new opponent in mind to defend his second belt: the North American Nick Diaz, free to act after serving punishment for doping.

“I'll tell you, I'm completely open to another fight. Let's be clear: I'm available and ready to fight at UFC 206. If GSP doesn't want to fight or be the champion of the people of Canada, I'm still available. I am looking at you, Nick Diaz. Let’s give the fans a fight they want to see and make some money along the way,” said Bisping, in an interview with the North American website “Champions.co”.
For Bisping, an eventual duel against Diaz would be a ratings success and would result in the purchase of thousands of pay-per-views for Ultimate. “I know Pettis vs. Holloway is going to be a big fight, but imagine the boom in pay-per-view buys if Nick and I were the main fight. It would be an audience machine. So, if you're paying attention, Nick, do what Georges didn't: sign on the dotted line and show how fan-pleasing fights are made,” concluded the current middleweight champion.
