Luciano Azevedo was unable to put his ground fight into practice

Competing for the MFC lightweight belt, the Brazilian Luciano Azevedo was not happy on Friday night, in Edmonton, Canada. Before Anthony McKee, the Tupiniquim athlete was put down right at the beginning of the fight, where he was punished with strong elbows from the guard until medical interruption, with a technical knockout being declared in the first round.

This was the eleventh consecutive victory for McKee, who now has 25 victories and just 3 defeats. Luciano added his ninth defeat in his career with 16 victories.

The other Brazilian on the card, Douglas lima, was right in front of Ryan Ford and submitted his opponent with an arm-bar in the early stages of the second round. This was Douglas' third consecutive victory, with 15 victories and only 4 defeats. Check out the other results of the event.
