On March 5th, at UFC 197, the Ultimate women's bantamweight division will have a title fight without the participation of Ronda Rousey. However, the combat stars assured that this is no reason for relief, as, according to them, there are other dangerous challenges besides the former champion.

Crowned champion of the category in November, after beating Ronda with an impressive knockout, Holm stated that she does not expect an easy life in front of Miesha Tate. “Miesha is a challenge, but in my career I have always accepted the challenges ahead. If Miesha is next, so be it. She is a different fight, more experienced than Ronda. I was open to a rematch with Ronda, but it didn't happen. Now that’s no longer in my head, because Miesha is a great challenge”, explained the new queen of the category.

Tate, in turn, was excited about facing a new opponent in an attempt to win the belt – she already has two losses to Ronda on her record. “I'm more excited for this fight than I would be for a third with Ronda. That's a completely different challenge. It's refreshing not to have to face Ronda again and not have to deal with all that drama every time we see each other. Plus, our styles are totally different: I'm a different puzzle to Holly, and Holly will be a different puzzle to me,” said the challenger.
