Frankie Edgar seems to be really willing to face Conor McGregor before his unification of the UFC featherweight belt against the linear champion, José Aldo. The former owner of the lightweight title took part in a question and answer session with his followers on Twitter and once again asked for the chance to face the Irishman, who he considers to be being protected by Ultimate's top brass.

An internet user asked Edgar what would be the ideal style to defeat McGregor: “My style is the ideal style”, he said. “The big question is if Conor is willing to face me, because I'm ready to fight tomorrow. I told him that Aldo is taking too long, so let’s fight,” he added.

Afterwards, Edgar was asked about his analysis of the fight between McGregor and Chad Mendes, won by the Irishman by technical knockout in the second round. “Chad got tired. I don't slow down. I would fight him even on the moon if I had to. But it wouldn't be good for the UFC if I fought him now. They need to breastfeed the cow before sending it to the slaughterhouse,” added the fighter.
