It was with fright, it was with emotion but Renato Moicano won another duel in Ultimate. On the preliminary card of UFC 300, which took place on Saturday night (13), the Brazilian lightweight (up to 70,3kg) delivered an intelligent and strategic performance, and, despite the knockdown suffered, managed to knock out his rival in the second round. The historic event was held at the traditional T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA)

Known for his aggressive style, Moicano entered the confrontation with a different strategy: looking for takedowns and keeping his rival pinned to the ground. In the first round, the Brazilian was successful in his strategy throughout practically the entire period, however, when he stood up in the final minute, Turner landed a straight shot that led to his knockdown and scared him.
On the way back to the second round, Moicano decided to adopt the same strategy, however, keeping his rival away from the cage and without giving him any opportunities to get up. After intense ground and pound, Renato punished his rival who could no longer defend himself and began to suffer with clean blows, forcing the central referee to stop the fight and declare the Brazilian lightweight's second consecutive victory.
