O 'hyping' it's real. Brazilian promise in featherweight (up to 65,7kg.), Diego lopes returned to 'cause' in the octagon. In his biggest career challenge to date, the athlete made the challenge seem easy in the face of the dangerous Sodiq Yusuf and he needed just over a minute to settle the bill in front of the member of the top 15. With sharp hands, the athlete took his rival to a lightning knockout and extended the great phase.
The result makes Lopes make a significant leap in the category led by Ilia Topuria. The athlete did not waste his commitment to face the 13th in the ranking and now occupies a prominent place in the group.

Surpassed by Diego, Yusuff is experiencing an unprecedented moment in his career. Overcome by Edson Barboza at the end of 2023, the fighter had never suffered two consecutive defeats.
Relentless
The fight started with Diego throwing a low kick at his opponent. Yusuff responded with a direct one. Afterwards, Lopes surprised his rival with a clean 'upper' to the chin. Sodiq went to canvas. The Brazilian began a true massacre against his opponent. Yusuff stood up, but collapsed again with another 'upper'. The referee stopped the fight after Sodiq was punished by the Brazilian.
