As devastating as the victory of Daniel Cormier in just over a minute over Patrick Cummins at UFC 170, held last Saturday (22) in Las Vegas (USA), it was the former Strikeforce GP champion's debut in the Ultimate light heavyweight rankings. In his first appearance on the list of the new category, Cormier already occupies sixth place, leaving names like Chael Sonnen, Mauritius Shogun e Dan Henderson back.

However, although he appeared in a devastating way at light heavyweight, the change in category caused Cormier to fall from his previous division, heavyweight. Among the athletes up to 120 kg, “DC”, as he is known, fell from fourth to thirteenth position, paving the way for the rise of Frank mir, Minotaur, Stipe Miocic, Antonio Pezão, Mark Hunt, Roy Nelson, Gabriel Napao, Alistiar Overeem and Josh Barnett.

In the other categories, little changed after UFC 170. The veteran Mike pyle, who beat TJ Waldburger last Saturday, gained two positions at welterweight and is now ranked thirteenth. In the women's bantamweight division, Alexis Davis rose to second place, overtaking Miesha Tate, and Jessica Eye, defeated by Alexis in Las Vegas, fell to sixth place, giving up fifth place to former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman.
