Chael Sonnen surprised by inviting his arch-rival Anderson Silva to be one of the coaches of your team in the third edition of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3, against the team of Wanderlei Silva. However, as the North American himself expected, this will not happen.
Claiming to have a full schedule during the program's recording period, the former middleweight champion said he will not be able to accept the invitation. “I think it's cool that he remembered me, but unfortunately I won't be in Brazil”, explained Anderson, at a press conference during a visit to the community of Rocinha, in Rio de Janeiro. “If I had time, were in Brazil and Wanderlei didn't invite me, I would definitely accept. I think it’s valid for the sport.”
Even without being able to participate in the attraction, the UFC title defense record holder praised the appointment of leaders for the third season and predicts a great fight between the two teams. “I think it's going to be a really cool TUF, since Wanderlei and Chael are great athletes. Sonnen promoted the two fights he had with me in the wrong way, but he is a great athlete, a great man, and I hope they have a great fight too”, he concluded.
Anderson's next UFC commitment will be on December 28th, when he will try to regain the belt in a rematch against Chris Weidman, who defeated him in July.
