Paulo borrachinha got involved in yet another controversy. Last Monday night (30), the UFC middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) was taken to the police station to provide clarification after allegedly elbowing a nurse in an attempt to defraud a vaccination card. The case was registered in a shopping mall in the municipality of Contagem, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais.

According to information from the Municipal Guard from “G1”, nurses reported that Paulo borrachinha arrived at the location wanting to be vaccinated against Covid-19, but when he entered the room designated for the application, he did not accept being vaccinated and wanted to leave with the completed card. At that moment, the fighter allegedly attacked one of the nurses with an elbow.

“The card was filled out. The workers said that, at the time of the application, he did not agree to be vaccinated, he wanted to leave with the card and they did not accept. At that moment, a nurse was elbowed,” municipal guard Marco Mota told “G1”.

Approached by the Municipal Guard, Borrachinha assured that he had taken the vaccine and accused the nurses of not letting him leave the place with the vaccination card. As for the elbow, the fighter claims that, when he was grabbed by the arm by one of the health professionals, he freed himself.

Also according to information from “G1”, the nurse allegedly attacked did not need medical attention and only claimed swelling on her lips. According to the municipal guard, there are no monitoring cameras in the application room.
