the ascent of Jon Jones for heavyweight it had been considered for some time, even so, when announced, it caused astonishment and shook up MMA. In an interview with ESPN, the heavyweight champion praised Jones, but believes he will have difficulty in the new class, due to the power of his representatives.

PUBLICITY:

“Jones is very technical, strategic, fluid in what he does and this can help him. It's always good to have a strategy when fighting and Jones has always shown that. I don't think it will get any easier, especially when there's so much weight involved. It's not like light heavyweight. At heavyweight, you have gigantic guys who don't cut weight. We are big boys with small gloves. All it takes is one punch. Even if you don't hit hard, you can knock them out. It doesn’t matter who it is,” said Miocic.

Miocic, who is considered by many to be the greatest heavyweight in UFC history, illustrated what he said by citing himself as an example.

PUBLICITY:

“Look what happened to me in the first fight against Cormier. I was hit by a lot of things and I didn't fall, but he hit me, I didn't see it and I missed it.”

On the other hand, Ngannou disagrees with the champion. The Cameroonian has no doubt that Jones will be successful and explained his point of view.

PUBLICITY:

“The heavyweight division could be even easier for Jones than the light heavyweight division. Obviously, we are more powerful, but the technique and fighting IQ are not the same,” said Ngannou.

It is worth noting that, still as light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones mentioned the names of Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou as opponents. In the past, 'Bones' even said that he would love to hold a superfight against the current number one heavyweight and, recently, he had entered into litigation with the UFC, because the organization did not agree to his request for a duel against the Cameroonian.
