The duel will be the attraction in the UFC Minneapolis, an event that takes place on June 28th in the USA. The fight should give the winner a chance at the category title, currently held by Henry Cejudo.

Formiga, who has a professional record of 23 wins and five losses, is enjoying a good moment in his career. The Potiguar comes from four consecutive victories. In his last fight, he beat his compatriot Deiveson Figueiredo, in March.
In turn, Benavidez has a record of 27 wins and five losses. The American has two victories on a streak and in his last fight he beat Dustin Ortiz, in January.
