Valentina Shevchenko will put the women's flyweight belt up for grabs for the first time against Jessica Eye. The women's duel should take place at UFC 238, June 8th in Chicago (USA). The information was confirmed by Ultimate through its social networks.

Valentina won the flyweight belt by winning Joanna Jedrzejczyk by point at UFC 231 in December 2018. At 30 years old, Shevchenko has 19 career fights with 16 triumphs and three setbacks. The Kyrgyzstani debuted in Ultimate in December 2015 and was only surpassed Amanda nunes in 2016 and 2017.
Jessica Eye made the transition from bantamweight to flyweight and won three consecutive victories. Her last engagement was at UFC 231 in December 2018. The American won Katlyn chookagian by split decision. The fighter has a record of 20 fights, with 14 triumphs and six setbacks.
