Now, on the eve of the appeal trial, scheduled for the 9th, Cyborg releases a video in which he acknowledges the ingestion of stanozolol, a banned steroid, but states that the use of the substance was not intended to improve performance. The fighter also apologized to her fans and says that she is taking regular doping tests.
“I'm not a cheater, every fight I've had in my career I passed the test, the fight against Gina Carano I passed the test. People say I got where I am because of a substance, but I'm not a cheater,” said Cris. “I took a medication that was supposed to help me make weight for the fight, but I didn't know it was a type of steroid, I thought it would just help me make weight”, added the Brazilian, who is not exempt from blame. .
“Everything I put in my body is my responsibility. So I want to apologize to Hiroko (Yamanaka), Strikeforce, the Athletic Commission and all my fans for my mistake”, added Cris.
