Cairo Rocha was highlighted on the MMA scene after his spectacular knockout of Chicão Neves in the Brazilian Fighting Championship. But now, the fighter will be in action on the mats. The São Paulo athlete is confirmed for the ninth Kamikaze Jiu-Jitsu Cup, which will take place on Sunday, April 1st, at Palestra Itália Clube, in Ribeirão Preto (SP).
One of the biggest names in the new generation of MMA in Brazil, Cairo Rocha, had his move, a “half-moon beat”, seen by more than 2,5 million internet users across the planet via YouTube. And the Jardinópolis fighter's new challenge is now the biggest and main jiu-jitsu competition in the interior of São Paulo.
“I came from Jiu and I just graduated as a brown belt. It will be my debut tournament against fighters in black, much more experienced than me. But as I don’t refuse a challenge and I love what I do, let’s try to take down a champion and go home with a medal”, says the good-natured fighter.
