Junior Gypsy scored his third consecutive victory in UFC Wichita, held last Saturday (09), but he is already thinking about the next challenge. After knocking out Derrick Lewis, third in the heavyweight rankings, the Brazilian sets his sights on a possible duel against the Cameroonian Francis Ngannou, second in the classification.

At the press conference after the UFC Wichita, Cigano commented on the chance to face Ngannou and did not hide his excitement about the possible confrontation.
“I think it’s great! This fight should have happened some time ago, but because of a bizarre situation, it didn't happen. Maybe now it will come to fruition,” said the Brazilian.
Cigano and Ngannou could have faced each other in 2017. However, the Brazilian was removed from the duel due to an accusation of doping – he was acquitted after proving that he ingested a contaminated supplement.
The Brazilian even planned when he would like the fight to take place. He said he is awaiting the birth of his second daughter, scheduled for May, and intends to return to the octagon in August.
“I want to stay active, but my family comes before my career. My daughter is due in May and I need to prepare to welcome her. I’ll probably fight again at the end of August,” she added.
