Brazil no longer has representatives on TUF 15, the UFC reality show, airing in the United States. Cristiano Marcello, the country's only representative on the program, ended up being knocked out on Friday night and is out of contention. Facing Justin Lawrence, the jiu-jitsu black belt was unable to impose his ground game against the American and ended up suffering a setback in the second round.
Lawrence started the fight better, controlling the duel in striking. But victory came to the North American in the second round. Justin knocked down Cristiano, who still tried to react by standing, but ended up being hit again and knocked out.
With the setback, Cristiano Marcello loses the opportunity to win the TUF title, but he can still be hired by the organization based on his performance at home.
