Anderson Silva He has already had 43 fights as a professional, but the expectation of his return after so long away has affected the former champion. Without fighting since February 2017, Spider took to the stage for the UFC 234 weigh-in, couldn't contain his emotion and burst into tears during the interview (see the video below).

When it came to confirming his weight, the Brazilian didn't even take off his shirt and weighed 84.3 kg, using the pound tolerance – around 454 grams – to confirm the duel between the middleweights. Next, his rival, Israel adesanya, weighed exactly 84 kg.
At the time of the traditional interview, Anderson was questioned about his history and the duel with Adesanya. The Brazilian smiled before not containing his emotion. He took a deep breath twice as tears fell from his face. A few seconds later, Anderson was succinct.

Spider's moment also moved Adesanya, who asked for applause for the Brazilian before declaring.

Whittaker and Gastelum confirm title fight
After Anderson and Adesanya stepped on the scale, the protagonists of the main fight took to the stage. Kevin Gastelum was below the division limit and weighed in at 83.4 kg, while the champion Robert whittaker weighed exactly 84 kg.
