Ultimate President reveals that Anderson Silva could retire if he suffers a knockout at UFC 234

Anderson Silva will be ahead Israel adesanya in the co-main event of UFC 234 in Melbourne (AUS), this Saturday (09). If the young Nigerian wins, the Brazilian will have the chance to compete again for the UFC middleweight belt. However, if he is knocked out, 'Spider' could bring forward his retirement.

In an interview with the North American website TMZ, the president of the franchise, Dana White stated that a knockout could mean the end of Anderson's career in professional MMA.

After 13 years and many achievements in Ultimate, Dana White stated that the Brazilian will have a guaranteed place in the UFC Hall of Fame. Despite the two cases of doping in Anderson's career, the president assured that the former middleweight champion's place is '110%' assured.

'Spider' hasn't fought since February 2017 at UFC 208, when he won Derek Brunson by unanimous decision. The Brazilian occupies 15th place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings.
