On Wednesday afternoon, the UFC held a press conference in the Canadian city of Calgary. The event was set up to announce the event that the city will host in July.
Calgary will receive the UFC 149 on July 21st. The main fight of the event will be the fourth defense of the José Aldo. The challenger has not yet been defined. The featherweight champion has already defended his title at UFC 129 (against Mark hominick), at UFC 136 (against Kenny Florian) and at UFC 142, in Rio de Janeiro (against Chad Mendes).
In addition to UFC 149, two more events were announced in Canada for 2012. Mark hominick reported that the city of Toronto will receive the UFC 152 on September 22nd. Next it was the welterweight champion's turn. Georges St Pierre announce that the UFC 154 will take place in Montreal on November 17th.
GSP took the opportunity to inform that the recovery from knee surgery is progressing faster than expected. He should return to training at an intense pace in July and said he would like to fight in front of his fans in Montreal in November, in a title unification against the interim champion Carlos Condit.
