Brave announces return to Jordan in April

After debuting in 2018, Brave will hold its second edition in the Asian country; Jordan currently has two champions in the event

The Brave Combat Federation announced the location of the second event of 2019. After its debut in the Philippines, the Bahrain-based MMA organization will return to Jordan in April for Brave 23. No fights have yet been announced for the attraction.

This will be the second time that Amman will host an edition of Brave. In March last year, the event debuted in the country. This time, the show returns to Jordan with two local champions. Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady is the current owner of the lightweight belt, after defeating the Brazilian lucas mineiro, while Jarrah Al-Selawe became welterweight champion after triumph over Carlston Harris.

President of Brave, Mohammed Shahid revealed that the company has been making plans to return to Jordan since Brave 10, which was sold out and was one of the liveliest shows in the company's history.

“Since the moment we ended Brave 10 activities, we have been talking about returning to Jordan. The country has some of the greatest MMA talent not only in the Middle East, but in the entire world. Helping develop the potential of these athletes is a crucial part of our plan to change the world MMA ecosystem. That's why we're back. And we couldn’t be more excited about Brave 23,” said Shahid.

Brave 23 is the second event announced for 2019. Before that, the organization lands for the first time in Manila, Philippines, for Brave 22, which will see current bantamweight champion Stephen Loman defending his belt against the former title holder featherweight Elias Boudegzdame.
