Coming from two consecutive defeats, the veteran Tito Ortiz is close to hanging up his gloves and announcing his retirement from MMA. But before the former UFC champion leaves action, he will have his last challenge: Tito faces Forrest griffin at UFC 148, an event that takes place on July 7th, in Las Vegas, in the United States.

The duel between Forrest and Tito will be the closing of a very successful trilogy within Ultimate. In the first duel between them, held at UFC 59, in 2006, Ortiz won by unanimous decision from the judges after 15 hard-fought minutes. The rematch took place at UFC 106, in 2009, when Forrest managed to impose his best preparation and take the win in a split decision from the judges.

The history of Tito Ortiz
Ortiz, who has a record of 16 wins and 10 losses, has his story confused with that of the UFC itself. The North American debuted in Ultimate in 1997 and fought all of his fights as a professional within the organization. Throughout his career Tito defeated names such as: Vitor belfort, Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture and Ken Shamrock. However, his record was marked by never having beaten his biggest rival, Chuck Liddell, to whom he was defeated twice by knockout.
