Cosmo Alexandre confirmed for Bellator 62

Several times champion of the main Muay Thai tournaments in the world, Cosmo Alexandre is willing to invest in MMA. The Brazilian accepted a challenge at short notice and is confirmed on the preliminary card of Bellator 62, an event that takes place this Friday (22) in Texas.

Cosmo, who turns 30 next month, will have his third fight as an MMA professional. After being defeated in his debut by Josh Quayhagen, the Brazilian managed to redeem himself by beating Avery McPhatter with a devastating knockout just 20 seconds into the fight. Cosmo's opponent in the event will be Oscar De La Parra, who has one win and two losses on his record.

In addition to the presence of Cosmo Alexandre, Bellator 62 will put five more Brazilians in action: Thiago “Big Monster” faces Eric Prindle in the final of the heavyweight tournament, and starting the lightweight tournament the country has four representatives: Ricardo Tirloni faces Rick Hawn, Patricky Freire will face Lloyd Woodard and Thiago Michel makes his debut for the organization against compatriot Rene Nazare. The fight between North Americans Brent Weedman and JJ Ambrose completes the GP bracket.
