The UFC Fortaleza weigh-in was held this Friday morning (01) at a hotel in the capital of Ceará. The protagonists of the event had no problems with the scales and secured the duels. Renato Moicano, Marlon moraes e Raphael Assunção passed the weigh-in calmly, but José Aldo needed a little ‘help’ from the towel.
Moraes and Assunção weighed 61,8kg and 61,2kg, respectively and confirmed the main fight of UFC Fortaleza. Characters from the co-main event Moicano and Aldo scored 66kg and 66,2kg and secured the featherweight duel.
Despite a peaceful weigh-in, two fighters failed to make the weight for their categories. Sarah Frota was more than 3kg above the women's strawweight limit of 52,6kg when she weighed 55,8kg. Even with the use of one pound (0,454kg) of tolerance, Magomed Bibulatov was unable to reach the limit of the flyweight category by setting 57,6kg.
As a penalty, Sarah will have to give up 40% of her scholarship to her rival to Livinha Souza. Bibulatov will return 20% of his salary to his opponent Rogerio Bontorin
