“I'm going fight by fight. At first, I have this fight and two more, then after these three fights I will really think about whether I want to continue, whether I want to stop, whether I want to have a few more fights or not. It will depend a lot on what happens this year”, said Demian in an interview with the Combate channel website.

The Brazilian comes from three defeats in Ultimate and wants to reverse the negative results at UFC Fortaleza. However, Demian knows that after adding a fourth setback in a row, the Ultimate can break the contract if he is defeated again.

“I can't have a crystal ball, I can't know, it's unpredictable. It really depends on how much they depend on me for the world and Brazilian matches, and the result that will happen. There's no way of knowing, the contract has three fights, but they can send you away in case of a setback. So, I can't control it. I know I'll have to complete these three fights if they want me to. I plan for this”, explained the jiu-jitsu black belt.

Maia guarantees that the strategy to beat Good is the same as always. Fighting with a striker, the veteran will take the fight to the ground and apply his sharp jiu-jitsu.

“My opponent fights standing up, he's a Muay Thai fighter, with a good takedown defense, and when he lands underneath he also has a good guard, more defensive, but he has jiu-jitsu, you know. And my game to win this fight is the same as always, I think I will have the advantage, if I have a clinch and, especially, if I put him down”, concluded the Brazilian.
