Sheymon Moraes is the third Brazilian chosen by the organization for the UFC Philadelphia, March 30th. The fighter from Rio de Janeiro will face Sodiq Yusuf by featherweights. The announcement of the duel was made by the athletes who published photos of the contract signing on their social networks.
“Battle in sight… on March 30th we are going to another war, I count on the fans and support of all of you, we are going with everything!!!”, wrote Shaymon.
The Brazilian debuted in Ultimate in November 2017, when he was defeated by Zabit Nurmagomedov at UFC Shanghai. In 2018, Sheymon recorded two consecutive victories over Matt Sayles and Julio Maple by decision of the judges. At 28 years old, Moraes has 13 fights in his career, 11 triumphs and two setbacks.
The Nigerian was discovered by Ultimate in the second season of the reality show Contender Series in July 2018. His debut in the organization was in December last year, when Yusuff beat Suman Mokhtarian on points. At 25 years old, Sodiq has a record of eight wins and one setback.
