Kelvin Gastelum goes to measure forces against Robert whittaker for the middleweight belt in the main fight of UFC 234, on February 09th in Australia. Optimistic about the confrontation, the North American believes he will knock out the category champion in the first round.
“I’m predicting a knockout in the first round,” Gastelum said at a press lunch to promote UFC 234.
Despite Whittaker's victories over Yoel romero e Ronaldo Jacare, Kelvin stated that he is sure that his abilities will take him to win the middleweight belt. “I feel so confident in my abilities and confident in what I’ve done in the sport,” he said.
The American stated that he wants to be a legitimate champion. Therefore, he has ensured that he will remain more active than Whittaker in his reign. Since winning the middleweight belt, Robert has had some injuries that prevented him from putting the belt up for grabs.
Gastelum has been in the middleweight division for just over a year and has had five fights, with four wins and one loss. His only setback was to Chris Weidman at UFC New York in July 2017. In his last two commitments, he won Michael Bisping e Ronaldo Jacare.
