Even with her great performance in Los Angeles, the 'Lionea' is not interested in remaining in the 66kg category. Through her social networks, the two-time champion rejected a rematch with her compatriot and announced that her time in the division had come to an end.

Amanda plans to make MMA history again by becoming champion in three different divisions. She plans to move down to flyweight and face Valentina Shevchenko by category title.
“I'm really planning to move down (a category) to compete for the flyweight belt”, posted the lioness.
Amanda nunes made history in 2018 by winning her second title and becoming the first woman to hold two belts simultaneously. Furthermore, the Brazilian beat great athletes such as Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, Miesha Tate e Chris Cyborg. At 30 years old, the Bahian has 21 fights, with 17 victories and four defeats.
