TJ Dillashaw plans superfight with Max Holloway for featherweight title

TJ Dillashaw is just a few days away from competing for the flyweight belt in a superfight with Henry Cejudo at UFC Brooklyn. If he wins, 'Viper' will be the fourth fighter to win two simultaneous titles in Ultimate. However, joining the select group with Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier e Amanda nunes doesn't seem to be enough for the bantamweight champion.

In a live broadcast on Instagram, Dillashaw confessed that he will challenge Max Holloway for the featherweight title to become the first fighter in MMA history to win three belts in different categories simultaneously.

“Everyone wants me to move up to featherweight and face Max Holloway. I would love to, but I have to take it one step at a time. Let's go through Cejudo first, and then Max could be next. I want to be the first fighter to compete for and win three belts”, revealed Dillashaw according to a transcript from the North American website MMA Junkie.

In an interview with the website, TJ's trainer Duane Ludwig was more thoughtful than the fighter and admitted that moving up to featherweight is a bigger challenge than moving down the flyweight division.

“I think the challenge of moving up a category would be greater than going down. TJ is not a big bantamweight. We will see a much bigger change when he moves up a division. I believe it could be a little slower, but it would have more power. Let's see what will happen if this is our path. Right now we are focused on the fight ahead”, explained Duane.

Cejudo and Dillashaw will be the protagonists of the main fight of UFC Brooklyn, this Saturday (19), starting at 21 pm (Brasília time). In the co-main event, former American football player, Greg hardy competes against Allen Crowder in the heavyweight division.
