Sean Sherk passes drug test

Former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk has passed random tests conducted by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The results were negative for steroid and recreational drug use. The new random exam policy established by the CSAC aims to dissuade cycling carried out by certain fighters in different months of the year.

“Year-round random testing will dissuade any fighter from considering the use of unapproved substances,” said NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer.

Sherk tested positive for the steroid nandrolone after his first title defense against Hermes França at UFC 73 in July 2007. He was released from suspension by the California State Athletic Commission on April 14, following the meeting where all requirements were defined. by the Commission.
