Tito Ortiz plans rematch with Chael Sonnen at Bellator

Tito Ortiz he knocked out Chuck Liddell in the first round at Golden Boy MMA in November 2018. He beat his rival for the first time, ending the trilogy and announcing his return to retirement. Despite that, Chael Sonnen challenged the 'Bad Boy from Huntington Beach' to a rematch at Bellator through his social network on Sunday (06). In an interview with the North American website TMZ Sports, the MMA legend accepted the new duel and assured that he will 'finish' his rival.

“I’m going to finish him off for three rounds. Probably, in Bellator, Scott Coker will make that happen. I'm going to end Chael. I'm not going to choke him, I'm not going to submit him. I’m going to finish him off,” said Ortiz.

In the first meeting between the fighters, Ortiz got the better of and submitted Sonnen in the first round of Bellator 170 in January 2017. The fight marked Chael's debut and Tito's last fight in the organization.

Ortiz wants the new clash to take place in New York at Madison Square Garden. The MMA legend said that in his 21-year career he had never fought at the legendary complex.
