Pitbull fights well, but is submitted
Despite coming off a victory in his last fight, Brazilian Thiago Pitbul arrived at UFC on FX 2 still surrounded by mistrust, as his last performances had been below his potential. But against Martin Kampmann, the athlete from Ceará showed the well-known and dangerous striking to bring danger to his opponent, who, despite the disadvantage, accepted the open fight. However, after Pitbull's slight advantage in the opening rounds, punishment came in the third round. With less than 45 seconds left until the end of the fight, the Brazilian tries to take down the Danish, who lands a guillotine choke during the takedown and forces the Brazilian athlete to give up.

Benavidez wins and fights for flyweight belt
When UFC president, Dana White, announced the creation of the flyweight category, the expectation for disputed fights full of alternations was high. And this Friday, at the opening of the competitions, the athletes did not disappoint and had electrifying duels.

In the first semi-final, of the mini-GP, Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall staged one of the most technical and exciting fights of the year. Johnson started better, using his movement well to connect more blows, while McCall tried to close the distance to take the fight to the ground. But after Demetrious got the upper hand in the first few rounds, Ian had a sensational third round. The North American took down his opponent, got to his back, mounted and punished Johnson severely until the end of the duel. At the end of 15 minutes of competition, Demetrious Johnson took the fight via split decision from the judges (29×28, 28×29, 29×28). Update: Commission makes mistakes and fight between Johnson and McCall ends in a draw

In the fight for the unprecedented flyweight belt, the only one guaranteed in the fight is Joseph Benavidez, who was not aware of Yasuhiro Urushitani, and after dominating the first round, ended the dispute just 11 seconds into the second round.
